We aim to be a driving force in a regenerative blue bioeconomy, where seaweed becomes an integrated part of tomorrow’s solutions.
We do this with a small carefully selected team, big partnerships and a firm conviction that trust and cross-disciplinary collaboration create the best results.
A European Alternative to Imported Seaweed
Today, the majority of seaweed used in Europe – for food, feed and industrial applications – is imported from Asia. This results in a vulnerable and fragmented supply chain, where transparency, transportation footprint and quality often vary.
At Pure Algae, we wish to change that.
We aim to build a sustainable European alternative, where seaweed is cultivated closer to the consumer, under controlled conditions and to an even higher standard of quality.
That is why we are the first company in Denmark to develop a controlled land-based facility where you can grow seaweed of the highest quality all year round, in a climate- and environment-friendly manner.
