PUREHATCH Nursery

The PUREHATCH Nursery Unit is an advanced pre-deployment system for seaweed cultivation. It bridges the gap between hatchery and full-scale production, enabling growers to produce robust and uniformly developed seedlings, for higher yields and greater planting efficiency.

Our nursery solution is based on patented technology, that involves fluid-driven rotation to optimize early-stage growth of seaweed on seeded substrate, such as twine. Each unit includes a cultivation tank equipped with multiple rotating spools that continuously expose the seed bearing substrate to a dynamic waterflow and to even lighting.

The Nursery is ideal for farms that are looking into expanding their hatcery capacity or targeting new species, requiring more delicate pre-cultivation. It also support commercial nurseries, providing seeded substrate to offshore or nearshore operations.

Supporting early-stage development and screening

The Incubator Unit serves as an ideal pre-stage, allowing controlled incubation, sporulation and early development before biomass or seedlings are transferred to the Nursery Unit for upscaling. The Nursery Unit is however not limited to seedling production as when not used for seedling lines, it may function as a standalone photobioreactor for biomass cultivation, making it a flexible component similar to the VALUEFARM Container.
